GENERAL INFORMATION

 

The goal of the Zonta Club of Parker County General Scholarship Award is to recognize the commitment of those students:

​

1. who aspire to further their post-secondary education

2. who shows evidence of volunteer leadership, good citizenship, and character

3. have achieved an outstanding academic record

4. who possess a commitment to advance the status of women

 

Awards will be presented by the Zonta Club of Parker County to a resident of Parker County.  The award will be paid directly to the college or university chosen by the recipient. Verification of enrollment from the college or university must be provided before funds will be released. The applicant must be enrolled in a minimum of six semester hours per semester.

 

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURES

 

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

 

• Complete application in full.  Incomplete applications will not be considered. 

 

• Verification of current enrollment from the college or university registrar.  If the application deadline precedes the college/university enrollment period, written confirmation of admission must be noted on the application. Official verification of enrollment must be provided before scholarship funds will be released.

 

• Two confidential recommendations from adults, not related to the applicant, such as teachers, school officials or community leaders.

 

 

All applications and supporting information become the property of Zonta Club of Parker County.  Zonta Club of Parker County has final authority over any aspect of the awards.
